Creativity Teambuilding Event Overview
Teams enjoy an entertaining speech on how to raise their creativity quotient. Then they put the lesson to the test by imagining and building a prototype for a new product that will revolutionize their industry.
Imagine if everyone in your organization was creative. Imagine the possibilities! Well, imagine no more because everyone is creative. They’ve just forgotten how to be creative, or succumbed to creativity crushers. The first part of this creativity teambuilding event includes a short pep talk that will help your guests stoke their creativity.
Employees Realize They are Creative
The pep talk is sprinkled with proven data. For instance, a Harvard Business Journal review study tested 4-5 year olds and found 98% were highly creative. When these same children were 12-13, they were retested and only 2% were still highly creative!
Next, teams put what they’ve learned into practice. Teams are set and challenged to come up with “the next big invention.” The invention that will propel their organization into the 22nd century. Teams must use their creativity to teambuild during this event.
Teams are supplied with a variety of building materials to be used on their inventions. Finally, they must create a presentation that illustrates what the invention is, how it works and how it will revolutionize their industry.
At the end of the creativity teambuilding event, the participants on each winning team receive an award medal so they can hang it on their door and look at it the next time they start thinking, “I’m not creative.” Or, “I don’t have good ideas!” and remember that they are creative after all!
