According to Robert McGarvey's Creative Thinking, 84% of people rank high in creativity while in kindergarten, but only 10% still rank high in creativity in Grade 2.
The fact that creativity is institutionalized out of us makes our team want to have a temper tantrum and suck our thumbs. But, as we left that behind in kindergarten instead of our creativity, we decided to host activities that will help participants regain their lost creativity instead.
Unleash your team’s creativity!
Your guests won't be able to contain their excitement as they unleash their creativity and go bananas trying to create the ultimate tropical drink container! Teams must create a tropical drink container using at least one fruit and any other decorating items found at the supply depot, such as paper umbrellas, pipe cleaners, stir sticks, etc and present their tropical creation to the other teams. Which team will earn
cheers from their colleagues and collect award medals as they are
toasted by all?
All of your guests may not be ideal singers, but this is an ideal way to entertain them! Teams participate in a singing competition, complete with costumes, choreography and Karaoke.
Teams may think this event is a piece of cake, but there's a lot to do if they want to top all other teams! Teams must decorate a cake, chef's hats and aprons and whip up a presentation that's better than all others, or they'll get creamed!
Teams enjoy an entertaining speech on how to raise their creativity quotient. Then they put the lesson to the test by imagining and building a prototype for a new product that will revolutionize their industry. Will the judges find their presentation inventively convincing?
It is usually considered impolite to make a scene. But, during this team building activity, it's actually encouraged as teams create their own must-see commercial or film for their company. The activity ends with MASsies - Make A Scene Oscar-like trophies - being awarded to those clips the audience enjoyed best.
