iPad Challenge

Teams utilize iPads and a custom app for a team experience that has them exploring their event location, completing challenges and playing games as they compete to outscore all other teams.

As guests arrive to the event they are handed a bandanna to serve as team identification and to wear throughout the event as a visual sign of their team spirit. Team spirit is just one of the by-products of this unique teambuilding activity.

Once teams have formed, the emcee opens the event with a fun activity in which teams choose a team captain. The team captain is then invited to come to the stage to pick up their team’s equipment for the event…an iPad! Teams discover that this high-tech tool is all they need to navigate the adventures they will encounter over the next couple of hours. After a brief explanation on how the custom app works, the emcee gives teams a special password that allows them to iNitiate the challenge!

The app contains directions, in-app games and multiple challenges. These challenges are clever and may involve video, photographs, and/or puzzles. Some may even involve props or other items you must retrieve in order to complete the challenge. For instance teams may have to:

• Visit a specific location that sells candy and say the secret phrase, “How sweet it is!” to the clerk. The clerk then gives them a package of candy and a password that, once entered into the iPad, unlocks a candy-themed puzzle. Teams score points for each correct answer to the puzzle.
• Listen to audio of a conversation. Can the team recognize all of the different movies quoted during the conversation?
• View an item at a nearby location to determine what color it is. This then helps them reveal which letters to use from an animated video clip showing different colored bouncing balls with letters on them.
• Retrieve a code number posted on a sign in an area that unlocks an on-screen game. How many moves will it take for teams to release a block from inside a cube with only one opening?

To add a personalized touch, your company logo can be displayed on multiple screens for maximum visibility throughout the app.

The event ends with all teams meeting back at a set location and time where the winning team is revealed. Award medals are bestowed upon each member of the winning team, but all participants walk away with a smile after this iNnovative team activity.
