Why Virtual Mystery Games Are Trending For Remote Meetings
There’s a reason why last year, our virtual murder mystery Manor House Murder, was our top-selling virtual game for remote teams. People “get” what a murder mystery is all about and love to participate in them! You can certainly choose to create your own whodunnit, but be warned – they can be murder to write! So, you may want to use your detective skills and track down a professional who can create one for you. At Wildly Different you can choose from several different virtual mysteries to engage your remote team, no matter the group size. Here is what makes virtual mysteries so popular and what awaits should you wish to investigate working with us…
People Love Solving Crimes
As a kid in the 90s, I remember watching Diagnosis Murder starring Dick Van Duke with my mom many times. Fast-forward to 2021 and the world is still engrossed by true crime dramas! From television shows like Law and Order, CSI, and Criminal Minds, to the overwhelming number of true crime documentaries on Netflix, or even the countless real crime podcasts, there is certainly crime-solving entertainment for everyone. All this to say, that no matter what type of virtual mystery you select, solving a crime is a team-building activity that your group is guaranteed to get excited about.
Virtual Mysteries Are Fun
Virtual mysteries are the perfect bonding activity for all teams. These interactive experiences truly bring out conversation and require individuals to work together in order to crack the case. They get groups engaged while bringing back the nostalgia of board games like Clue. In fact, some of our clients even show up to their virtual meetings dressed for the occasion with participants wearing their best detective ensemble or dressed like their favorite famous crime-solver. So, whether you have an incredibly competitive group, a creative group, or a an extremely analytical group, detectives of all demographics enjoy the feeling of accomplishment when they crack the case!
The Experience
Our mystery games are turn-key, making them a no-brainer for a virtual team builder. Each of our virtual experiences can be done for remote groups from 5 to 500+. Typically, these events are hosted live with a Wildly Different Game Master utilizing our provided Zoom platform, but we can also use your company’s preferred meeting platform such as Microsoft Teams, WebEx, and more. On the day of the event, your Game Master will welcome your team of detectives, introduce the premise, and get players into the game itself – an app which they access by scanning a unique QR code on their mobile device. Then, detectives collaborate in teams in order to solve the mystery!
Due to the popular demand for our virtual mystery experiences, we have created multiple themes, so your group can try them all. If your group wants a true who dunnit mystery, they can help track down the killer in our Manor House Murder! But the good news is, not every mystery features a murder, so if that’s a “no-go” for your group, you have choices! During “In a Jam – a Rockin’ Mystery,” bands must work together in order to find their drummer before the big show. Or, for groups looking to take on the role of detective, they may want to test their luck at unfolding the crime (NOT a murder) that happened in Main Street Mystery.
